Sana Biotechnology is creating and delivering engineered cells as medicine for patients. The company was founded in 2016 by world-renowned scientific founders including Chad Cowan of Harvard, Sonja Schrepfer of UC San Francisco, Chuck Murry of UW, Richard Mulligan of Harvard, David Baker of UW and HHMI, and the scientific team at Flagship Labs led by Geoffrey von Maltzahn. Sana is focused on creating and delivering engineered cells as medicine for patients. Leveraging technology from UCSF, Harvard, and the University of Washington, Sana plans to build a comprehensive platform for therapeutic cell engineering and manufacturing that will facilitate the development of multiple proprietary clinical assets.
